Jackson Wang: Jackson Wang was born in Hong Kong. He spent his childhood there, so naturally, he speaks Cantonese. Jackson went to the American International School. Because of his international schooling, he could speak English from a young age. He has his extended family in China, hence he speaks Mandarin and Shanghainese as well. After he decided to be an idol trainee in Korea, he had to learn Korean to communicate with the audience and colleagues. Till date, he has managed to learn five languages fluently.
Lay Zhang: Lay Zhang, known simply as Lay, is a Chinese actor and singer. He is a member of the K-pop band EXO. Lay speaks his native language, Chinese. After joining SM Entertainment, he learned Korean as his second language. For the past few years, he has not been promoting with EXO and is focusing on his solo career. After starting his solo career, he learned English to communicate with his fans better, as he has many fans all around the world.
Ten: Ten is a member of the boy group NCT and its first sub-unit, NCT U. He was born and raised in Thailand, so he is a native Thai speaker. After joining SM Entertainment, he learned English and Korean as part of his job. Ten has Chinese roots; thus, he speaks Mandarin. All combined, Ten speaks four languages.
Lisa: Just like Ten, Lisa is also from Thailand. She was born and raised in Thailand; as a result, she speaks Thai. Afterwards, she learned English, and after joining YG Entertainment, Lisa had to learn Korean as part of her job. Lisa’s mother is Thai and her father is French, so there is a chance that she knows French! But we haven’t heard her speaking the language. As of now, we can say Lisa speaks 3 languages.
Bambam: Adding another Thai national to the list. Bambam is a groupmate of Jackson; they are members of GOT7. As a Thai national, Bambam speaks his native language. Later in his career, he learned English and Korean.
Sandara Park: Sandara Park, also known as Dara, is a member of the girl group 2NE1. She is Korean, so she speaks Korean naturally. Before joining 2NE1, Dara had a successful career in the Philippines; therefore, she had to learn Filipino to better communicate with the audience. After becoming a K-pop idol, Dara learned English as her third language.
Key: Key is a member of the South Korean boy band Shinee. He speaks Korean, English, and Japanese fluently.
